Are all insurance agents the same? In a word, no.

 

First off there are captive agents. These agents work for only one company. State Farm, Allstate, and Farmers are examples of captive agent companies. So, you need to ask yourself this question – Do these agents work for their customers or their company? You decide.

Next are direct companies. Companies such as Geico and Progressive. With these companies you don’t even have an agent that is assigned to you.
